Catching Up with Fall Sports

  • Men’s Cross Country – This season the men have placed 2nd, 4th, 15th and 8th as a team in various meets. They will head to sunny Florida for the Atlantic Sun Championship coming up on Halloween.
  • Women’s Cross Country- The team has finished the regular season with 6th, 9th, 14th and 3rd place finishes. This past weekend Brittany Thune captured the individual title. They will join the men down in Florida at the end of the month for the conference championship.
  • Men’s Golf- In fall tournaments, the team has played in four events finishing 6th, 14th, 6th and 8th. They will participate in the APSU Invitational this weekend before breaking until the spring.
  • Women’s Golf – The team has been busy this fall with 4th, 5th, 11th and 10th place tournament finishes while also beating rival Lipscomb in a dual match. They have two more tournaments before they will put away their clubs for the winter.
  • Men’s Soccer – After getting off to a rocky start, they had a successful weekend winning both games to improve their record to 3-10-1. They have a big match up with rival Lipscomb Thursday before closing out the regular season the following weekend.
  • Women’s Soccer – Currently #2 in the conference, the team has had success on the field holding a 8-5-3 overall record. Two more regular season games remain when they travel to Florida before the A-Sun Tournament gets under way.
  • Volleyball- The 2nd half of the season has officially begun and currently the team has an overall record of 10-11 and is 7-6 in conference play. There are still several home games left so come out to the Curb Event Center and cheer on the Bruins.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS FINISHING UP THEIR SEASONS AND STARTING POST-SEASON PLAY!

Perfect Running Weather

After last week’s muggy, rainy weather, the women’s country team is definitely loving the temperatures this week! There is nothing better than a run through the park in 68 degree weather! Being from northern Ohio, to me, this is what cross country is supposed to feel like! It’s about time too, because the season seems to be flying by! Only two more races until the Atlantic Sun meet on October 31st, and three races until the South Region meet on November 15th.

This weekend the team will be headed up to Louisville, KY to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday morning. We’re all really excited to get to race again. We love every opportunity we can get, especially after some disappointing results two weeks ago in Alabama. From the looks of it, this week’s course looks fast and the weather looks like it will help bring some fast times! With some lingering injuries at the beginning of the season, and some unfortunate new ones, we’re lucky to have almost everyone back to race this weekend. Hopefully this race will be successful for everyone, and we hope that we will come back to Nashville with some personal best times!
Wish us luck!!
